'Girl in a Pink Dress' by Kenneth Lauder
Kenneth Lauder (1916-2004) was born in Edinburgh and although he studied at the Royal Collage of Art and Chelsea art school (under the influence of Robert Medley), he retained a Scottish colourist look to his work. His post war work tended towards the semi abstract - much influenced by Patrick Heron and Braque. His first solo show was in 1950 at the Redfern Gallery; he was represented by Agnews for more than 20 years and his pictures are now held in museums and galleries world wide. Oil on canvas 24” x 20” circa 1954, in original artists frame.
