'Seaport 1' by Robert Sadler
Robert Sadler (1909-2001) was born in Suffolk, studied at Eastbourne Collage then Cambridge, before joining the RAF in 1930. During a very successful career, culminating in his appointment to NATO - Sadler always managed to attend art school. First in London then Copenhagen, Winchester and finally Washington, where he studied and became fascinated by American abstract art. Retiring in 1955 to ‘devote his life to painting’ - he had his first show at Swaffham Priory and this began a distinguished career with regular exhibitions in the U.K.and abroad.
