Adrian Daintery 'The Evening Out'
Adrian Maurice Daintrey 1902 – 1988 Born in London, Adrian Daintrey studied at the Slade 1920 – 1924 and later in Paris at the Ecole du Louvre. Daintrey had a wide range of artistic friends including Augustus John, Rex Whistler and Lady Diana Cooper. His first exhibition in 1928 was shared with Paul Nash. He exhibited widely, painting both landscapes and portraits; his work is held in the Tate, Imperial War Museum, and British Museum. His Autobiography ‘I Must Say’ was published in 1963.
